The Hubly Drill has been cleared for sale by the FDA
Lisle, IL, May 9, 2023 – Hubly Surgical, developers of cranial and orthopedic platform drilling solutions, received 510k clearance from the FDA to market the Hubly Drill, an innovate cranial access drill for neurosurgical safety in the ICU.
The Hubly Drill aims to mitigate the challenges of bedside cranial access by being the first and only cordless single-use cranial drill with advanced features for safety and efficiency in any setting. “Essentially we are bringing the precision of the operating room, which physicians are accustomed to, to the bedside,” said Founder/CEO Casey Grage.
With FDA approval in place, the company is eyeing a $5 million Series A round to start a commercial rollout in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Texas-Oklahoma-Missouri-Kansas area.
